Founder of Percept Ltd, Sunburn, Shailendra Singh, made his way to the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to announce the line-up of his upcoming 11 full-length films.
Speaking at a press conference, Singh said that Bollywood is losing on the art of storytelling and is focused on dates and availability of directors and actors. “I want to make storytelling the hero again. For me, it’s always about the script and the universal sentiments, told from India, that the entire world can understand,” he said.
In the last couple of months, Singh has been constantly interacting and sharing scripts with young and upcoming filmmakers to make his project of 11 films a success.
THE 11 FILMS
One can look out for Pluto, Scavengers, Doctor Dang, Lover, Story of Danii, Sexaholic, Tiodam, Perfect Divorce, Khud Key Kushi, Battle of Rs 340 and Brothers emerging from Singh’s stable.
Hinting that this is the just the beginning of something big to come, Singh said that he does not believe in categorising cinema into a specific genre and art has no boundaries or limitations.
Among the 11 films, which are either directed or produced by Singh, Lover is shot entirely in Goa.
