After travelling all across the country, the International Performing Arts Festival (IPAF) has finally made it to Goa for the first time ever! The festival will be held at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall on January 5 and 6, 2023, from 5.45 pm onwards.

An initiative by Shyam Pandey, the International Performing Arts Festival was launched on July 23, 2015, in Ahmedabad. Since then, IPAF has been annually organising a festival in the different culturally rich cities of India.

Some of the locations where the festival has been previously held are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Shillong, Bhopal, Dehradun and Jaipur, all part of a long list.

January 5 will include performances like Dance Drama Veergatha – Jhansi ki Rani, kathak, folk dance and more. While day 2 of the festival ensures ghazal and semi classical performances, folk dance, and classical vocal performances that are sure to entertain the people that will be attending the festival.

IPAF aims to encourage various art forms and holistic traditions through the medium of performing arts across societies. Right from upcoming artists to differently-abled ones, they provide a platform to unite societies and cultures through the fusion of performing arts globally.

In addition to this, IPAF has also been supporting artists financially, having organised 30 paid online programmes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The list of performers that will be present are Prerana Palekar & Group, Dr Khushboo Panchal, Young Divyaang Artist People High School, Old Goa School, Balkrishna Marathe, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce and Goa College of Music.
