Coming up, this October on Goa’s tiatr scene

Roseferns and Prince Jacob’s tiatrs are among the many which will be released this month

New releases during the winter season are highly sought after by Goa’s commercial tiatr directors as this season gives them the opportunity to stage more shows in the villages than in the cities.

A good number of commercial tiatr directors prefer to showcase their theatrical art in villages and cities till the month of February as there are several village feasts lined up during that period of time.

On account of various feasts in villages and parishes across the state during that period, booking new tiatrs for those festive occasions becomes handy and feasible for the organizers.

ABOUT THE TIATRS

From the month of October, there are more than 10 tiatr releases from different tiatr directors, including the small-time tiatr directors.

Franky Gonsalves and Selvin de Siolim already released their new productions, Mahanand Devmonis? and Kortubanchem Chitr respectively, in September.

Songs, cantos and loads of laughter are in store for tiatr-lovers, this October

After the success of the tiatr, Mahanand Munis vo Soitan? by Tony Dias, in the past, Franky Gonsalves decided to bring in a sequel and try his luck on stage as a tiatr director.

As in the past, the tiatr director plays the lead role of Mahanand, with Sheena Gracias, Aplon, Tracy de Calangute, Vishal, Normandez and others in the troupe.

For some laughter moments among the audience, the tiatr director has roped in comedian Richard, Humbert, comedian Sally, Dorothy and Manohar Bhingui. But, whether the five comedians will deliver the laughing pills is worth the watch on stage.

The other winter releases this October include Roseferns’ Dev Tumkam Bhogsum, Prince Jacob’s Noxibantlem, Comedian Dominic’s Flying Kiss, John D’Silva’s Bessanv, Kissan de Chinchinim’s Tuka Mhoji Xabaski, Pascoal de Chicalim’s Goenkaranchim Dukham, Comedian Joyel’s Devachean, Pal Soares’ Ghov Bailam Modem, Ulhas Tari’s Ho Inam Koslo?, Dominic Carvalho’s Mhojem Kalliz Otrekta, JosEvon’s Chint Munxea Vogot Astana, Jose de Benaulim’s Mhozo Tuzo Pai… and Joesan Afonso’s Hem Zhuz Somptelem.
