The week-long celebrations are hosted by Airbnb in collaboration with the Goa Tourism Department.
During the week-long celebration, there will be over 20-plus specially curated unique Airbnb Experiences hosted by local experts highlighting the culture, rich heritage, musical traditions, culinary delicacies and thriving landscapes of Goa across the Northern and Southern districts of the state.
WHAT IS REDISCOVER GOA?
‘Rediscover Goa’ celebration aims to highlight how the state's inherited traditions and cultural legacy form the basis of Goan living even in this day and age.
The experiences will allow participants to engage with the vibrant local culture and explore the existing pockets of lesser-known aspects that make Goa unique.
As a part of ‘Rediscover Goa’, guests can savour the flavours of Goa's unique culinary delights through an authentic five-course meal with chef Anumitra of Edible Archives.
They can spend an evening enjoying music of two of the most iconic music genres of Portugal and Goa, Fado and Mando, with fadista Sonia Shirsat at Madragoa to dive deep into the Indo-Portuguese culture that has been nurtured for centuries.
For the outdoorsy person in you, choose to take a riverside e-cycling tour, go kayaking on the Sal backwaters or head for a Cliff to Coast Trail.
SHOWCASE GOA'S TREASURE TROVE
Speaking about ‘Rediscover Goa’, Minister for Tourism Rohan Khaunte said, “Goa is a treasure trove of hidden gems and we have been undertaking several initiatives for travellers from across the world to explore the hinterlands of the state.”
Such initiatives will bring financial independence to the women who are the majority stakeholders in the homestay business and provide benefits to remote communities, said Khante.
He added, “We look forward to working together to promote homestay and hinterland tourism in the state.”
