43rd Samraat Sangeet Sammelan to be held in Ponda, Goa

The festival will see some renowned Indian and Goan musicians

The 43rd Samraat Sangeet Sammelan, organised by Samrat Sangeet Academy, will be held on January 20, 21 and 22, 2023, at the Master Dattaram Volvaikar Auditorium at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda, Goa, informed the chairman of the organising committee Adv Avadhut Salatry at the press conference. 

Other members present were Sagar Panvelkar, secretary of Samraat Sangeet Academy; Sudhakar Nageshkar, treasurer; Guruprasad Shinke, trustee; and secretary Sandeep Nigalye and president Shailesh Borkar of Samraat Club International State 1.

Secretary Sagar Panvelkar said that the inauguration of the prestigious 43rd Samraat Sangeet Sammelan will be held on January 20, 2023, at 5.31 pm, and after that musical performance will continue on January 21 and 22 with the performance starting at 5.31 pm.

Guruprasad Shinkre, the trustee of Samraat Sangeet Academy, said that the sammelan has been successfully organised for the last 42 years. 

This classical music festival (sammelan) is unique and one of the topmost national-level classical music festivals in the country, wherein renowned classical singers and instrumentalists of the country as well as well-known and budding classical singers of Goa perform.

After the inauguration, Sadanand Amonkar (sitar), Goa, and Pandit Harish Tiwari (classical vocal), Delhi, will perform. 

The other performing artists are Dr Shilpa Duble Parab (classical vocal), Goa, Siddharth Banerjee, (siddha veena vadan), Delhi, Ustad Faiyaz Khan (classical vocal), Bangalore, Prachi Jathar (classical vocal), Goa, Anshuman Maharaj (sarod), Banaras, Vidushi Subhra Guha (classical vocal), Kolkata.

The accompanying artists are Dr Sudhanshu Kulkarni, Belgaum; Raya Korgaonkar, Goa; Gopinath Gawas, Goa; and Any Ghate, Goa; Sarfraz Khan, Bangalore; Dr Uday Kulkarni, Goa; Sanket Khalap, Goa; Shailesh Gaonkar, Goa; Hrishikesh Phadke, Goa; Mayank Bedekar, Goa; and Gautami Amonkar, Goa.

The compere of the entire programme is Govind Bhagat. All music lovers are cordially invited by Samraat Sangeet Academy to this three-day classical music festival.
