52nd IFFI: 15 films to compete for Golden Peacock Award

The 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) begins on November 20

A total of 15 Films have been nominated for the top honour of the Golden Peacock Award at the 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

The movies are that will compete for the top honour include Any Day Now (Finland), Charlotte (Paraguay), Godavari (India), Intregalde (Romania), Land of Dreams (USA), Leader (Poland), Me Vasantrao (India), Moscow Does Not Happen (Russia), No Ground Beneath The Feet (Bangaladesh), Once We Were Good For You (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ring Wandering (Japan), Saving One Who Was Dead (Czech Republic), Semkhor (India), The Dorm (Russia), The First Fallen (Brazil)

The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 40 lakh that is shared equally between the director and producer; the best director that consist of a silver peacock has a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh and the best actor (male & female) has a cash prize of 10 lakh.

A special jury award containing a silver peacock, certificate and cash prize of Rs 15 lakh is given to a film or individual for their artistic contribution to a film.
